"It is with great pleasure that I recommend the musical group, Dunumba, to you. At the 2009 National Folk Festival, they brought the house down. Their high level of musicianship, professionalism and enthusiasm for their performance is obvious to anyone watching, and an audience is unable to stay still. Their dance shows at this year’s festival were one of the highlights for many people. I highly recommend them".
Dave O’Neill Artistic Director National Folk Festival, Canberra

"Dunumba are an exciting, energetic outfit specialising in dance-oriented, tradition-based
southern African music. They have a big, happy sound, and generate a terrific vibe with the
audience. I’m confident they would be a big hit with Woodford audiences, and would we well
suited to a range of settings from the Folklorico venue to the Chai tent to the more energetic
late-night mosh-pits. They are also very capable and highly experienced workshop presenters,
and can engage well with young participants in this setting. They were a very successful
inclusion in the recent Fairbridge Festival and I have no hesitation in recommending them.
Given Woodford’s long history with drumming they are a very natural fit"!
Steve Barnes, Fairbridge Festival Pinjarra
